Who Pays For It?
Most hoarding cleanups are paid privately by family members, estates, or through reverse mortgages. In some cases, homeowner's insurance will cover portions if there's a covered peril (water damage, sewage backup, biohazard from a deceased animal). Probate attorneys and elder-care agencies are often willing to coordinate.
